Software Protection
As a former computer programmer, I know how much time and energy goes into writing software applications. You can spend weeks on a single function and many months refactoring your code prior to its release. Once your program is complete, you need to consider how you are going to allow others to interact with it: Open Source, License Agreements, Freeware, etc.
It is important to understand how to protect your software from improper usage, illegal resale and theft through piracy. They way you distribute may also depend on how you want to be compensated, if at all. Additionally, just because you may not want compensation does not mean you should just let anyone do whatever they want with your code.
Give me a call to talk about your application and the best way to protect it from illicit use. I was a software developer for over 15 years, so I know the pains of writing great code, only to see someone else get the credit.
